Computer Network दो या दो से अधिक computers तथा अन्य network devices को आपस में जोड़ने की व्यवस्था है, जिससे वे Data, Information और Resources को share कर सकें।

मुख्य उद्देश्य (Main purpose):-
- Data Sharing — डेटा साझा करना
- File Sharing — फाइल साझा करना
- Printer Sharing — प्रिंटर साझा करना
- Resource Sharing — संसाधन साझा करना
- Communication — संचार
Types of Computer network :-
Computer Network को उसके geographical area (भौगोलिक क्षेत्र) और network के उपयोग के आधार पर अलग-अलग प्रकारों में बाँटा जाता है।
- PAN – Personal Area Network
- LAN – Local Area Network
- MAN – Metropolitan Area Network
- WAN – Wide Area Network
